The "Zoological Collections" available here are special excerpts from selected collections of Polish scientific institutes of the RCIN consortium. They are very diverse both in terms of taxonomy and the type of objects presented. We find here collections of modern insects: springtails, butterflies, flies and beetles. Ornithological collections in the form of bird eggs occupy a unique position (among several thousand specimens, the eggs of all species nesting in Antarctica were collected here). The theriological (mammal) collections are the skulls of modern rodents and bats collected from Algeria and Mexico in the second half of the 20th century. Also noteworthy are the paleozoological collections, among which the fossils of Jurassic crabs (true crabs, hermit crabs and lobsters) and the fossil resins (amber) with animal inclusions occupy a special place.
