The collection includes some iconographic materials created as part of activities of the Unit of the History of Material Culture of the Middle Ages and Modern Era. The group is a rich and varied collection that illustrates all aspects of the history of material culture in Poland. The set of materials includes photographs documenting monuments and objects located in the field, maps and city plans and their segments, work tools, examples of construction techniques, workshops and craft devices. These materials often refer to the everyday life of urban and village inhabitants. There are also iconographic images from handwritten collections, old engravings and illuminated manuscripts, artefacts acquired as a result of archaeological research and objects that are museum exhibits. The collection is stored in the Archive of the IAE PAS.
