Search for: [Description = "The photo depicts a young woman in a regional costume posing outside. According to the photo’s owner, it depicts Anna \(…\), daughter of Monika and Jan, from a peasant family from Kokoszyce. She is dressed in a traditional Sunday outfit worn at that time by unmarried women from the neighbouring villages of Pszów commune, Rybnik district. This was a long, usually black, skirt with an undecorated apron – if without an apron, than a skirt would be trimmed with 6 white buttons \(on the left side\). Women also used to wear waistcoats \(with or without a cut waistline\), fastened at the front in the middle with ornamented buttons with or without clasps, in various patterns. Such a costume was commonly used until 1939. At the back of the photo there is an inscription saying\: “Anna \(…\) 1917 – Kokoszyce – in a visiting dress” \[the rest is illegible\]"]
