Abstract:An approximate solution is presented for the flow of blood through an intented tube. It is assumed that blood flowing in the tube is a suspension of red cells in plasma and the red cells are spherical in shape. Theoretical results obtained in this analysis are given for the axial velocity, wall shear stress and the pressure gradient. The numerical solutions of these results are explained graphically for better understanding of the problem.
