Histological diagnosis: Aneurysma a. cerebri mediae dx. ruptum. Atheromatosis gr. magno. Autopsy examination of 56-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on sections stained by H-E, Van Gieson's stain.Observations: The arterial wall with a delaminating hemorrhagic focus along the elastic lamina. Atherosclerotic plaque with macrophage infiltration in the internal membrane. The middle layer was segmentally thinned and focally ruptured. A thrombus adhered to the appendage..
