Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:An installation for continuous thermal sterilization with steam injection into liquid, constructed within the research project CPBP 0.4.11., has been presented. The installation output is 0,05 to 0,25° m/h. Feasible sterilization conditions: temperature up to 150°C, holding time to 200 s.To determine the sterilization efficiency, a direct method was applied. A liquid containing a defined number of microorganisms was introduced to the sterilizer. Two strains of Bacillus were used. Next, the number of microorganisms was determined in the liquid after sterilization.Tests confirmed full applicability of the installation for continuous sterilization of liquids.
