Description:

Wyprawa botaniczna Prof. Kazimierza Browicza na wyspę Limnos w dniach od 13 czerwca do 2 lipca 1990 roku. Badacz stwierdził, iż flora wyspy składa się z 51 gatunków, przy czym 21 gatunków stwierdził po raz pierwszy. Należą do nich: Anagyris foetida L., Arthrocnemum macrostachyum (Moric.) K.Koch, Ephedra foeminea Forssk., Gomphocarpus fruticosus (L.) W.T.Aiton, Halocnemum strobilaceum(Pall.) M.Bieb., Lonicera etrusca Santi, Lycium europaeum L., Medicago arborea L., Phillyrea latifolia L., Pinus brutia Ten., Pistacia atlantica Desf., Populus alba L., Pyrus spinosa Forsskal x Pyrus communis, Rosa canina L., Rosa sempervirens L., Salix alba L., Solanum dulcamara L., Solanum elaeagnifolium Cav., Ulmus minor subsp. canescens (Melville) Browicz & Ziel., Crataegus monogyna Jacq. i Crataegus ruscinonensis var. aronioides Browicz. Ostatni takson został po raz pierwszy odnaleziony i opisany na terenie Grecji. Zbiory zielnikowe i notatki terenowe z wyprawy uzupełniły kartotekę flory wschodniego Śródziemnomorza, gromadzoną systematycznie od kilku lat w Instytucie Dendrologii PAN w Kórniku. W oparciu o zgromadzone dane powstały dwie publikacje.
