Wyprawa botaniczna na wyspę Chios w dniach od 8 maja do 4 czerwca 1985 roku. Uczestnicy wyprawy: Adam Boratyński, Kazimierz Browicz, Jerzy Zieliński. Stwierdzono występowanie 108 gatunków drzew i krzewów, w tym 32 taksony endemiczne, które znaleziono po raz pierwszy. Szczególnie cennym odkryciem było stwierdzenie stanowisk występowania takich gatunków, jak: Amelanchier parviflora Boiss., Arbutus andrachne L., Atriplex halimus L., Astragalus angustifolius Lam., Atraphaxis billardieri Jaub. et Spach, Celtis australis L., Genista anatolica Boiss., Halimione portulacoides (L.) Aellen, Micromeria graeca (L.) Benth. ex Rchb., Phlomis cretica C.Presl, Polygonum icaricum Rech.f., Rhamnus prunifolia Sm., Suaeda vera Forssk. ex J.F.Gmel. oraz Pistacia lentiscus L. cv. Chia. Ten ostatni kultywar jest uprawiany na wyspie w celu pozyskania wyjątkowo cennej mastyksowej gumy, stąd jej druga nazwa „Mastyksowa wyspa”
