Abstract:At the beginning of the article the authors present a brief characteristics of history of studies on the phenomenon of Bell Beakers BB. Next follows an analysis of two particular issues associated with BB, i.e. completing a list of diagnostic features for BB and an attempt to carry out their genetic analysis, and a review of relation between BB and the cultural background within three basic Beakers' provinces. At the end of the article a model of cultural explanation of BB is presented; to its construction the authors used suggestions by other investigators, discussed in this article. The idea of the model is based on complexity (generally a two-degree one) of the genesis of BB. The explanation of the early history of BB was developed from a postulate that a new distinction ought, to be made, which would recognize the Pre-Beaker community as a separate nation from the eastern part of Mediterranean. In the course of time, due to the „atractiveness" of civilization of this nation, BB acquire an ethnicless character of culture of elites, stabilizing the beginnings of differentiation within groups in communities of Southern, Western, and Central Europe
