Abstract:Przemiany osadnicze w południowej i środkowej Polsce od II w. p.n.e. do V w. n.e. rozpatrzono na podstawie dokładnie datowanych stanowisk archeologicznych i w powiązaniu ze zróżnicowaniem kulturowym. Pozwoliło to na wyciągnięcie ogólnych wniosków na temat struktury osadnictwa, zasadniczych tendencji zachodzących przemian oraz ich uwarunkowań. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na zagadnienieskupisk osadniczych i na zmiany zachodzące w ich rozmieszczeniu. Przeprowadzono również próbę powiązania niektórych zjawisk uchwytnych w materiale archeologicznym z wydarzeniami zanotowanymi przez antyczne źródła pisane
