The photo shows a pretty young woman surrounded by eight men of various ages dressed in elegant suits standing in front of a building with a wooden gratings on either side of the entrance ; Below the photo there is an inscription: A photo taken in March1939 by my uncle. Taken in front of the sunhouse of my grandparents’ house in Lubosz Stary. It shows my mother with her brothers and cousins ; March 1939, Lubosz Stary ; The photo sent to the contest named “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly “Nowa Wieś” (New village). Copy of the photo kept at the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute for the History of Material Culture)
