Abstract:

This work covers the main problems of image retrieval and the-state-of-the-art of content based image retrieval in particular. It is described based on a wide survey of selected methods indispensable to follow the construction of a particular CBIR system. It focuses on the classification of the main concepts of image retrieval with its numerous stages and many variants of different techniques which have already been implemented.
