Histological diagnosis: Angioma arteriovenosum - racemosum reg. occipito - temp. Malacia periangiomatica. Aneurysma ?Autopsy examination of 55-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, van Gieson and orcein. Multilocular vascular systems with unformed walls filled the sulci between the gyri. Some vascular branching contained hemolyzed blood and pressed deep into the brain tissue. Very numerous small and medium-sized arterial vessels were observed under the lining, which were extremely scleromatically altered. The sampled aneurysm appeared to develop as a result of an originally undeformed structure of the arterial wall - normal layering could not be found in any section of the artery. Secondary prominent fibro-proliferative changes were found.
