Wyprawa naukowa do Turcji miała miejsce na przełomie października i listopada w 1977 roku, uczestniczyli w niej Kazimierz Browicz, Jerzy Zieliński i Jacek Hantz. Wyprawa objęła teren Anatolii na zachód od Ankary, zachodnią Turcję i wybrzeże Morza Śródziemnomorskiego, a zwłaszcza teren półwyspu Çeşme. Badacze odwiedzili Herbarium na Uniwersytecie w Ankarze (Ankara University) i w Izmirze (Ege University), gdzie zapoznawali się z florą drzewiastą Turcji. Dane terenowe i studia zielnikowe uzupełniły kartotekę flory wschodniego Śródziemnomorza, którą gromadzono w Instytucie Dendrologii PAN.
