Object description:

Neolithic flint mine; dated to around 3500-3000 BC. Lousberg is a levelled hill located north of Aachen (Aix-la-Chapelle) in western Germany. The raw material occurs in form of plates and flat concretions. It was known to primeval societies since Upper Paleolithic. Most spread in Neolithic. Used above all for making axe cutting edges
