Stability of antisense oligonucieotides— the possibilities of their enzymatic digestion
Subtitle:Stability of antisense oligonucieotides— the possibilities of their enzymatic digestion
Creator: Publisher:Committee on Biotechnology PAS ; Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS
Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:Nucleolytic enzymes (5 - and 3'-nucleases, exo- and endonucleases) can degrade short unmodified oligonucleotides applied as potential antisense agents. Better stability of oligonucleotidesagainst nucleolytic enzymes can be achieved by chemical modification of intemucleotide bonds.Stability of the phosphorothioate, phosphorodithioate and methylphosphonate analogues of oligonucleotides against nuclease PI, 3'-exonuclease, snake venom phosphodiesterase and other nucleases is discussed.
