Abstract:The paper presents a concept of altruistic equilibrium in non-cooperative non-zero sum games based on the assumption that players take care of other player's interests. This concept is quantified by introducing altruistic coefficients which determine intensity of player altruism. Altruistic trade-off coefficients are also introduced to characterize a strategy profile in terms of lower bounds on altruistic coefficients, for which the strategy profile is an altruistic equilibrium. This concept allows to obtain equilibrium in any game for any Pareto optimal strategy profile, even if a Nash equilibrium does not exist.
