Abstract:Problems connected with the theoretical description of plastic flow of polycrystalline sheet metals are discussed and commented. Sheet metals display distinct anisotropic properties in the plastic range of deformation. It is observed that these properties may be different depending on the plastic deformation histories in the course of the manufacturing process. Much attention has been devoted to the experimental tests of plastic anisotropy of sheet metals and to the comparison of test results with various theoretical descriptions.
