Abstract:

This work includes an analysis of the appearance of protoaxes and similar tools in the Odra and Vistula drainage basins. The existence of links between Mesolithic cultures of the northern part of central Europe and the north-west European circle ofMesolithic cultures has been determined on the basis of this analysis. The author considers the problem of the intensity of these contacts in various areas and in various chronological sub-periods of the Mesolithic
