Abstract:This article is the first comprehensive evaluation of the findings that have been brought about by a long period of archaeological investigation of the deserted medieval village of Bystřec that lies in the cadastral area of Jedovnice, district of Blansko. The investigation has featured combined geophysical methods for surveying of subsequently excavated areas, and forevaluating of the investigation. The investigation has been judged from the point of view of urbanization, complexity of the settlement, and life of its inhabitants
