Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). Photo from the village inhabited by shepherds from the group kachchi rabari. Behind the village rise the hills overgrown with bushes of an acacia family. This barren is devoted to grazing goats, in the evening when the heat subsides some of the children are playing on the hills. On a hill on the left is a white shrine. This shrine is dedicated to pir- Muslim saint (pir), with its characteristic dome, a small building in a square. This is a tomb, with located body of the deceased inside. Often such places are places of worship, where miraculous healings occur. Thanks to this they are visited by the followers of Islam and Hinduism. Kutch District is located on the border, and most of the villages are filled with shrines dedicated to the Hindu gods as well as the Muslim saints
