Description:

Photography (scan from a slide). The picture shows women rabari. Dressed in traditional clothes - two of them have a long veils (ludi) with the stitched squares with geometric patterns with mirrors. Others have cheap veils made of artificial fibers in the colors yellow, green, red and blue. Sitting in a cottage, which walls are made of reeds. Rabari from the southern part of the Sindh live in the area from Badina to the Nagar Parkar area. They have common roots with the rabari shepherds living in the District of Kutch. They were separated after the establishment of the border between India and Pakistan. The other Hindus live among the followers of Islam
