Abstract:
Ectobius vittiventris (Costa, 1847) is recorded for the first time in Poland and its identity is confirmed by the DNA barcoding. Furthermore, new data on occurrence of the species in Czechia are provided. Our findings, coming mostly from sites along busy road routes, may suggest some role of road transport in the spread of this species in Central Europe
