Photo (scan from slide). A street leading to the main temple in Kedarnath / Himalayas. In front of the entrance there is a statue of a bull (Nandin) associated with the god Shiva. Pilgrims stand in line to enter. In the background you can see the high peaks of the Himalayas. Kedarnath is at the end of one of the roads leading north. There are no more inhabited places, and there are paths on which only ascetics walk.
