Simulation studies have indicated that standard error formulae for estimates calculated from capture-recapture data are not reliable in practice, particulary when it comes to using them for derving confidence limits for true population parameter values. Symulowane badania wykazały, że wzór na błąd standardowy estymacji danych uzyskanych metodą ponownego odłowu nie jest w praktyce pewny, szczególnie gdy stosuje się go do obliczania granic ufności dla wybranych parametrów populacyjnych.
