Przeprowadzono badania nad występowaniem warstwy X kory nadnerczy u 228 osobnikach myszy wielkookiej leśnej, Apodemus flavicollis (Melchior, 1834) i 242 osobnikach nornicy rudej, Clethrionomys glareolus (Shcreber, 1780). Zwierzęta pochodziły z Białowieskiego Parku Narodowego a łowione były w latach od 1966 do1969. Wyłowy odbywały się w kwietniu, czerwcu, październiku, grudniu i lutym.
