Abstract:

In the paper an idea of a camp/ex computer system for decisions support for the operator of a municipal water network is presented. The system consists of Jour co-operating modu/es: the numerical map of the water network, the monitoring system, the computer program for hydraulic calculations and for optimisation, and the set of computer programs realising the non-technical tas ks which are arising by the maintenance of the waterworks: The numerical map is based on a standard GIS system adapted for the needs of the water network. The modu/es of computer system co-operate each other using the Branch Data Base which comprise the information about the water network structure and about its elements necessary to carry out the tasks of all modu/es of the computer system.
