Abstract:Histological diagnosis: Glioblastoms multiforme.Autopsy examination of 44-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin, celloidin and van Gieson method. A cell-rich, polymorphic tumor was found, containing numerous round, spindle-shaped, and multinucleated cells with glial cell nuclei. Multiple nuclear conglomerates and abnormal mitoses were observed. Small round-cell perivascular infiltrates were seen. A small secondary hemorrhage was found in the midbrain.
