Subject and Keywords: Abstract:Histological diagnosis: Sacroomatosis meninguum.Autopsy examination was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method. Within the basal ganglia, at the border with the temporal lobe, very dense perivascular meningeal infiltrates consisting of small lymphocyte-like components and single large cells were seen. Images of karyorrhexis, or abnormal mitoses, were also observed. The infiltrate morphology resembled the composition of lymphocyte-like sarcomas. In adjacent brain tissue huge deposits of starchy bodies were seen. In the basal ganglia above the optic nerve, a whole packet of vessels with calcified walls containing already loose calcium crystals in the perivascular spaces was found.
