Celem pracy jest próba ustalenia sposobu likwidacji przez gryzonie luki wytworzonej w ich zasiedleniu. Lukę wytwarzano eksperymentalnie odławiając zwierzęta z określonej powierzchni w lesie. Badania prowadzono na terenie Kampinoskiego Parku Narodowego w lasach przy Stacji Terenowej Zakładu Ekologii PAN w Dziekanowie Leśnym.
