Autopsy examination of 75-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method. Advanced mesodermal organization was evident in both foci of encephalomalacia. Vascular lacunae were found in the white matter. The vessels showed prominent atherosclerotic changes.
