Subject and Keywords: Abstract:Histological diagnosis: Mulformatio congenita cerebri. Microgysia. Heterotopia. Autopsy examination of 3-month-old baby was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with cresyl-violet and Heidenhain method. There were no active lesions in the brain except for increased intravascular transudation as well as thickening and vitrification of the vessel walls. In the frontal and occipital regions there were small abnormally shaped additional ganglia. In the temporal area an islet of displaced glial and ependymal tissue was seen in the cortex. The cerebral cortex had fetal features in places. In the cerebellum a fetal layer persisted.
