Abstract:Histological diagnosis: haemorrhagia recens cerebri.Autopsy examination of 84-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with Hematoxylin-eosin and van Gieson method. The left hemisphere revealed the presence of a fresh hemorrhagic focus edge partially destroying the basal ganglia and white matter. Numerous macrophages, stimulated vessels, and glial cells were seen. The peripheral tissue was markedly loosened with features of edema. Cellular desolation was observed in the ammonal and temporal cortex. Blood was visible in the ventricular system. The vessels were fibrotic.
