Abstrakt:

Histological diagnosis: Encephalomalacia partim haemorrhagica in regione nucleorum basalium sinistrorum. Arterio et arterioloscierosis gradu mediocri. Autopsy examination of 82-year-old patient was performed. Neuropathological evaluation in light microscopy was based on brain paraffin sections stained with hematoxylin-eosin, PAS and Van Gieson's method.A foci of softening was seen, partially hemorrhagic with macrophage reaction, surrounded by a band of incomplete necrosis. Thinning of the tissue structure was observed locally. Moderate vascular atherosclerosis.
