Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:Lupin seeds extract with high content of sugars of raphinose family (up to 50% of dry weight) wastested as a medium for a biomass production by 22 yeast strains. Five of them; Rhodotorula rubra, Torulautilis, Torula cremoris, Torulopsis utilis, and "Ja" 36, were found to grow very efficiently on this medium togive a biomass with high protein content. A high coefficient of digestibility and wide amino acids composition of these proteins indicate that the resulted biomass can find application as a fodder component.
