Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:Root, callus and suspension cultures of L. arvense and A. tinctoria were obtained. Ail the above mentioned cultures were able to produce shikonin derivatives. The qualitative composition of the shikoninderivatives in callus and suspension cultures was similar to that of root culture, but it differed quantitatively.Total content of shikonin compounds under the same culture conditions was higher in A. tinctoria than inL. arvense.
