Abstract:

The paper addresses issues related to a new approach in building Business Intelligence Systems. This approach assumes a better integration of business intelligence and workflow management systems. This connection constitutes a new class of systems - called Business Process Intelligence, and opens a new possibilities in analysing processes and discovering knowledge about behaviours of objects. In the paper, a deeper analysis and further enhancements of these systems is presented. Moreover, the paper presents a concept of a system that exploits - often neglected - sources of data to discover process knowledge in organization.
