Abstract:

The paper presents applications of the enzyme membranes in biocatalytic processes. Ultrafiltration membranes and the most often used methods of the enz3rme immobilization are reviewed. Attention is paid to recent contributions to enzjmie membrane reactors and the new kindof enzyme membrane systems. The two-liquid phase membrane reactors with laminated enzyme membranes used for enantioselective processes, and especially those with membranes immobilizing enzyme — coenzymesystems are shown as the most interesting.
