Hybrydyzacja kwasów nukleinowych in situ: od ISH do DIRVISH
Subtitle:Nucleic acid in sifu hybridization; from ISH to DIRVISH
Creator: Publisher:Komitet Biotechnologii PAN ; Instytut Chemii Bioorganicznej PAN
Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:In situ hybridization (ISH) provides a highly sensitive method for the detection of specificnucleic acid sequences in cells, nuclei and metaphase chromosomes. This technique has beenimproved continuously since it was first established in 1969. Especially fluorescent in situ hybridization (FISH) rapidly replaced radioactive procedures and became a conventional tool incytogenetic research. ISH plays an increasingly important role in a variety of research areas ofmedicine, genetics and plant breeding. It has been successfully applied for chromosome orchromosome fragments identification, chromosomal abnormalities detection, gene mapping orspecific DNA sequences localization.
