Date issued/created: Subject and Keywords: Abstract:The paper reviews the new methodologies of synthesis and screening of combinatorial libraries of chemical compounds (CCL). The original classification of chemical combinatorial librariesis presented. The combinatorial libraries of chemical compounds are the collections of low (peptides, their analogues, oligonucleotides etc.) or high molecular compounds (fragment antibodies, chemically modified phages etc.). They can be obtained via chemical or chemical/biological routesand screened with labelled acceptor (substrate) molecules in order to reveal those of interactinglibrary entities which best meet the selection criteria (conditions of selection). The potentialapplications of CCLs in basic research and technology are indicated.
