Abstract:The concept of linguistic quantification for the purposes of text categorization is discussed. Linguisitc quantifiers treated as aggregation operators are applicable at many stages of text categorization process. In this paper we look at their possible application for the representation of categories of documents via so-called linguistic summaries. This, now fairly well established data mining technique, makes it possible to both describe categories as well as provides an operational tool - a set of rules - for actual documents categorization.
