Abstract:

The vast majority of the fibers in the H-Ei trichrome staining show the correct diameter and structure in the collected sample. Among these fibers scattered irregularly, smaller fibers are visible. The division of fibers into metabolic types is preserved with a slight predominance of type 2 fibers. Type 1 fibers show irregular, single deficiencies in the activity of respiratory enzymes, invisible in ATPase staining. Conclusions: uncharacteristic image of the section, enzymatic losses require assessment in M-E.
