Muscle segment examination in light and electron microscopy

Abstract:

Some of fibers were disrupted, in some contractile apparatus was unchanged. Myofibers showed extensive cytoplasmatic vacuolization, probably vacuoles were derived from endoplasmatic reticulum (Fig. 1,2,3). Swollen mitochondria characterized by light mitochondrial matrix and partial or complete loss of mitochondrial cristae were seen.
