Date issued/created: Description:The photo taken by a professional photographer shows members of the headquarters of the Voluntary Fire Brigade in gala uniforms. Firemen are posing in two rows. Those higher in rank sit on chairs while those lower in rank and at a younger age are standing behind them. There is a typed description (not fully legible) at the bottom of the photo: “the photo taken in May 1927, shows the "headquarters" of the Voluntary Fire Brigade in Dańków (…). Taken by a professional photographer (name unknown) in the Dańków Village, former Grzymkowice Community, former Skierniewice district”; May 1927, Grzymkowice Community, Łódź voivodeship ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
