Description:

The photo shows a young woman with a little baby and a pram in the meadow. The photo is of a very poor quality. The child is sitting on a chair in the centre of the photo while the woman kneels by its side. According to the owner of the photo the picture was taken in a meadow behind the village and it shows her mother and her mother’s sister; May 1948, Kurów Village ; The photo sent to the contest “Photography of the Polish village pre-1948” organized in 1983 by the quarterly “Fotografia” (Photography) and the weekly „Nowa Wieś” (New village). The copy of the photo in the possession of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences (former Institute of the History of Material Culture)
