Muscle segment examination in light and electron microscopy

Abstract:

A biopsy a quadriceps sinister from a 17-year-old patient suspected myopathy was examined. Electronmicroscopy analysis reveald normal diameter and unchanged ultrastructure of muscle fibers. The structure of myofibrils was preserved. Normal, located submembranously nuclei were seen. Most mitochondria were unchanged, in some loss of mitochondrial cristae was observed.
