Abstract:

A 6-year patinet with progressive ophtalmoplegia and suspected mitochondrial myopathy was examined. A biopsy of biceps sinister was perfomed. Electomicroseopy analysis showed ultrastructurally changes mitochondria characterized by light matrix, portially of completely devoid of mitochondrial cristae. Numerous fat droplets located peripherally were seen.
