Muscle segment examination in light & electon microscopy

Abstract:

An 18-year-old patient with suspected myopathy (high CK level) was examined. A biopsy of biceps sinister was performed. Electronmicroscopy analysis revealed normal structure of muscle fibers with a large amount of connective tissue separating individual fibers. Abnormal structure of myelin sheaths were observed.
