The au-thor has been doing field research in Wolica for her PhD since 2019. In the article, she describes the behav-ioural, material and linguistic artefacts of Wolica’s folk culture. She also quotes excerpts from ethnographic interviews with residents of the area. The evoked artefacts testifying to Wolica’s folk past have a different meaning today than they did previously.
