 abstract={The article presents an analysis and interpretation of the academic graphical thesis of Andrzej Kuropatnicki from 1682 (the copy kept in the National Library of the Czech Republic), with the apotheosis of King Jan III Sobieski for the Battle of Chocim and Prince Jakub Ludwik Sobieski as successor on the throne of the Commonwealth. After the introduction presenting the circumstances of its composition, the authors, inspirer and technical principles, the study focuses on a detailed analysis of its ideological, scholarly and artistic meaning. In conclusion, the socio-political and propagandist context is presented, which decided on the circumstances of the printing of Kuropatnicki’s graphical thesis.},
